The Fine Arts Film Festival (FAFF) is defended to showing the finest films in the world nearly art, the art earth, and films that are art in and of themselves. Painting, photography, sculpture, performances of all forms, artists in and out of their studios, collectors, galleries, museums, public art, and alternative fine art spaces are all office of FAFF. This includes video fine art, curated as a Film or a Virtual Reality medium.

The 9th Almanac Fine Arts Film Festival 2022 will be held online on the Vimeo platform on June ten-nineteen, 2022 and in person June ten-11, 2022 at our traditional venue of the Beyond Bizarre Literary Arts Center in Venice, California and other move picture venues as available.

Featuring exceptionally creative and important films about art, artists, and the art world - many premiering for the kickoff fourth dimension in the Us - from countries effectually the globe!

We also screen Official Selections at venues throughout the year - nosotros've screened selections at venues including Furst World in Joshua Tree, the LA Art Prove in Los Angeles, Tallinn, Estonia, and in future Italia, Mexico and other locations.

All Official Selection films will receive an offer for an international distribution deal from ViCAFilms in partnership with a veteran distribution firm that cares for the filmmaker as much as nosotros do.

Rules & Terms

Bailiwick matter must be related to the art world in some mode, whether it be art and artists in or outside their studios, collectors, galleries, museums, public art, and alternative art spaces, music or dance performances or multi-media art events, or other art related subject. For FAFF 2021, films must have been completed after January ii, 2020. In that location are completion date waivers available for certain projects - delight inquire.
Virtual Reality Experiences take no completion deadline.

We must exist informed if the film or the Virtual Reality feel has premiered, been shown on the internet publicly, or broadcast previously. That will non disqualify a film, but we must exist informed.

Films must be submitted via individual link. We may inquire for a DVD to be submitted likewise. Virtual Reality experiences must exist submitted as 360 film via individual link or equally executable.

Films and Virtual Reality projects must be submitted with proper documentation, including manager/producer bios, contact data with email addresses and social media accounts, distributor data (if applicable) publicity materials such as affiche/one canvas, 1-3 images from each movie (please at least 150dpi for our catalog).

To upload a 360 video file
If you're uploading a 360 video type of experience, upload a YouTube link to it.
Create a 360-enabled file with an app:
ane. Download 360 Video Metadata for Mac or Windows
ii. Install the app
3. Select the video file
4. Select the tick box for "Spherical" and click "Salve as".
5. Proper noun the video

viii. Look for the 360-degree effect to process (this may take up to an 60 minutes)
For the best results, encode your video at a loftier resolution and according to YouTube's advanced specifications (https://support.google.com/youtube/reply/1722171) Recommending to upload sixteen:ix aspect ratio stitched videos in 4K (3840x2160) resolution.

To Upload a Virtual Reality Feel (exe files)
Please provide a Dropbox or Google Drive link to your file or whatsoever other storage link solution. Don't forget to provide the admission code.

Short films are considered all films under 55 minutes.
Feature films are considered films 55 minutes and above.
Virtual Reality 360 films are considered nether 25 minutes.
Virtual Reality experiences have no fourth dimension constraints.
